Pledging Alpha Chi Sigma is a fun and enjoyable learning experience that will teach you about our organization and interesting facts regarding the history of chemistry! As part of the Alpha Chi Sigma national organization, there is never any hazing, whatsoever! We want the pledging process to be memorable for its good times and laughter, and as such convince you to join our fraternity.

You do not need to be a chemistry major in order to be part of AXΣ. In fact, most of our members are pursuing a wide variety of science and science-related majors, and not specifically chemistry. You just need to have an interest in community service in order to join our fraternity!

We are a national fraternity with chapters at colleges throughout the U.S. Tens of thousands of people have been initiated into brotherhood since its founding in 1902.
Our pledging process is a positive and enjoyable experience – we want you to want to be part of our great organization!
Because we consider ourselves a half-social, half-service fraternity, you get the best of both worlds when it comes to a Greek organization.
We engage in numerous community service activities, including Chemistry at the MoST, Comstock Kids Fest, Relay for Life, and many more!
You can forge lasting bonds with other people with similar interests and academic demands, so not only will you make great friendships, you’ll also find a solid support system when it comes to study time.
We love science, so if you do, too, and are looking for others who understand your interests and passions, we’re the right group of people.

Why Pledge ΑΧΣ ?

These are just a few reasons why you might want to pledge Alpha Chi Sigma; of course there are many more benefits to joining us. Please be sure to check out our Events List (on the left sidebar) and the homepage for announcements regarding informational meetings and rush events, which we would love for you to attend. We typically have one pledge class in the fall semester and one in the spring semester, both of which are organized at the beginning of the semester, so be sure to check for updates then.
